Would you like to be transported away by the beautiful tones of English-Ethiopian singer songwriter Izzy Bizu, and brought to the dance floor by the vibrant passion of The STAKS? Come and join us for a one-off evening of funk, jazz and soul to raise money for Ethiopiaid!
Izzy Bizu, winner of the BBC Music Introducing Award 2016, brings her soulful voice to an intimate and exclusive night of music to raise funds for poverty alleviation projects in Ethiopia. Bizu fuses soul, funk, jazz and pop together to create a classic sound, influenced by Amy Winehouse, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown.
The STAKS are a high-energy Soul/R ‘n’ B band featuring musicians who have collectively performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in the industry. With their exciting new arrangements of classic songs, The STAKS are sure to deliver an electric performance that will be truly unforgettable.
Ethiopiaid partners with local organisations to transform the lives of the marginalised and vulnerable. Working to improve maternal health, eradicate fistula, stop harmful practices and keep girls in school, the charity creates lasting change for thousands of women and girls every year.
