We are deeply concerned by reports of escalating violence and instability in northern Ethiopia, particularly in Tigray and along the border with Afar. While the 2022
Yantule and Undene live in the Daramalo district of southern Ethiopia, where red clay soil, rich in irritant minerals, covers the ground. Both Yantule and Daramalo had both been living in isolation and pain due to podoconiosis.
