In Ethiopia 15 women die from cervical cancer every 24 hours.

Of the 10 million women eligible for cervical screening, only 8.4% are screened. Lack of access to screening means cervical cancer claims the lives of over 5,000 women in Ethiopia every year. Yet it is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers, if detected early and managed effectively.

In a country like Ethiopia, prevention is key. Please make a gift today and double your impact. If you would like to discuss a larger gift, please do get in touch with Anna, on anna@ethiopiaid.org.uk.

How will my donation help women in Ethiopia?

In order to save more women, health facilities need more resources. Greater awareness of cervical cancer among health professionals and within communities is key. With more trained clinical staff, well-equipped health centres and more women confident and comfortable to be examined, more lives can be saved.

Donations to this appeal will be matched up to £10,000.

The solution: detect early, manage effectively:
