My memories of Sir Alec are those of a tall, generous man with a twinkle in his eye and a real eye for detail. Over the ten years of working for Ethiopiaid we have answered many of his questions and taken inspiration from his suggestions. I am truly proud to lead the team who will now continue his legacy through Ethiopiaid. We all share his passion for Ethiopia and the deep belief that development must be partner-led. We've also learnt a lot from him about the generosity of our supporters – and he was very much the champion of giving, passing away on Giving Tuesday.
